I love to paint sunsets for so many reasons! Pattern. The way the sky flows into the landscape. Painting colors that are opposites on the color wheel right next to each other…the vibration that generates! This old hickory tree is at a bend in the farm road at our last place in Washington, PA; it’s in an area that’s surrounded by horse pasture, so it’s the lone tree, bent and scarred from the wind; a nice angular sentinel against the shifting patterns of sunset sky.
