The frame is a lovely gold 1 1/2" moulding
with bevels.
 
This is another painting from an open studio; see my description of the painting “Green Dream” for my explanation if you’ve never attended one. This lovely model had the most incredible skin; the color of coffee with cream in it, and glowing rose highlights. I used some gold Windsor & Newton gouache in this one, mixed into the skin tones, to get that glow. W & N gouache actually has tiny gold particles; one can use it straight out of the tube for a shouting bright gold, or mix it with water for a glittery wash…that’s my tactic.
