Sand Castle

The frame is a simple 3/4" light wooden moulding. This one was lovingly and professionally framed at Frame Designs gallery.
 
So intent on building a sand castle that she does not notice the wet sand dripping from her hair, Lia listens intently to her older brother's advice about constructing sand architecture. Pattern is what drew me to this scene; I'm fascinated with all the shapes in the sky, the water, the wet sand. This one was a joy to create - it almost painted itself! Thanks to my great neice and nephew, Lia and Cam, for modeling.
