After canoeing at Dutch Fork Lake near Claysville, PA, my husband and I chanced upon a hillside of older cars, some with numbers painted on their sides, and a sign advertising "Derby Cars". This was a scene just begging to be a painting. Upon asking permission to take some photos, we met J.D. Martin, who builds demo derby cars. These three Mopars are, from left, a '70 Dodge Charger, a '69 Dodge Charger, and a '64 Chrysler Imperial. Gold brushed metal frame.
